Our Prefects

In preparing our Year 4 pupils to play an active role as one of tomorrow’s successful citizens we entrust them with responsibilities. Within school, they are expected to lead by example, enabling our younger pupils to learn from their positive role-modelling.

Responsibilities

Bishopspark Prefects lead by example at all times in their behaviour, the respect they show to others and their appearance in relation to school uniform.

A prefects’ role is varied and to be awarded a school prefect badge is to be considered a real privilege, responsibilities include:

  • helping to set up the hall for assemblies and managing the sound and lighting during assemblies;
  • maintaining sports cupboards and equipment;
  • encouraging children to walk up and down the stairs and corridors calmly and quietly;
  • caring for our school environment at all times;
  • collecting and reporting weekly team points in Achievement Assembly;
  • providing role models to classes during wet break and lunch time.
